NY State Cop Fatally Shoots Suspect During Call
State police were responding to a menacing incident.

STANFORD, NY — A state trooper fatally shot someone while responding to a call in the Dutchess County town of Stanford. State police had been dispatched to 6063 State Route 82 for a menacing incident.
During the call, an officer discharged his firearm, striking the suspect, police said.
This afternoon, police said the person injured in Monday's member-involved shooting had died as a result of their injuries.

State police did not release any further information Tuesday. They said additional details would be released at a press conference on Wednesday.
The investigation into the shooting is currently ongoing.
