NYC Pair Caught With 5-Ounces Of Crack Cocaine: NYSP

PLEASANT VALLEY, NY — Two Brooklyn residents were accused of having more than 5 ounces of crack cocaine.

The New York State Police said troopers conducted a traffic stop on a 2021 Chevrolet Malibu shortly before 5 p.m. Wednesday on the Taconic State Parkway in the town of Pleasant Valley.

An investigation found Jazzmeek T. Johnson, 31, and Jaquell D. Fleming, 26, both of Brooklyn, had about 148 grams of crack cocaine, police said.

They were charged with second-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, felonies, and two counts of criminal use of drug paraphernalia, a misdemeanor.

Johnson and Fleming were arraigned in the town of Pleasant Valley Court and sent to the Dutchess County Jail without bail pending a future court date.
