One Dead, One Injured In Catskill Stabbing

One man is charged with murder and accused of tampering with evidence, New York State police said.

CATSKILL, NY — An assault turned deadly Sunday in Catskill, with one resident injured, one dead, and two arrested.

Village police were called to an assault at 31 Summit Ave. at 1:27 a.m.

They found two men injured. One, with a stab wound in his back, was taken to Albany Medical Center. The other, 28-year-old Adam White of Catskill, succumbed to his injuries at the scene, police said.

Investigation by New York State Police, the Village of Catskill Police Department, and the Greene County Sheriff’s Department resulted in the arrests of 30-year-old Michael J. White and Jennifer Hall, 37.

White faces charges of Murder Second Degree, a Class A Felony; Assault First Degree, a Class B Felony; and Tampering with Physical Evidence, a Class E Felony.

Hall was charged with Hindering Prosecution, a Class E Felony.

White was arraigned in the Town of Catskill Court and is being held without bail at the Greene County Jail. Hall was released on an appearance ticket to appear in the Town of Catskill Court.

Charges are pending against an additional person, state police said.
