Orange County Commissioner Becomes School District Treasurer
Orange County Commissioner of Finance Tawnya Muhlrad has accepted the position of Treasurer with Monroe-Woodbury School District.

Goshen, N.Y. – Orange County Executive Steven M. Neuhaus announced on Thursday that Commissioner of Finance Tawnya Muhlrad has accepted the Treasurer position with the Monroe-Woodbury Central School District.
“We certainly wish Tawnya the best,” Neuhaus said. “The Monroe-Woodbury school district has made a good choice as I know Tawnya had extensive fiscal experience with Orange-Ulster BOCES before she came to county government.”

Ms. Muhlrad was appointed as Orange County’s Commissioner of Finance in December of 2014. She was responsible for administering the county’s finances, including banking, investment, debt issuance, payroll, accounts payable, property tax collection, and financial reporting.
Neuhaus stated further: “I wish Tawnya the best in her future endeavors.”

Ms. Muhlrad’s last day with Orange County will be on April 29.
“I thank County Executive Neuhaus for the opportunity to serve as his Commissioner of Finance,” Muhlrad said. “We accomplished a lot during my time with Orange County government. I also commend my hard-working staff. They have been terrific and I’m grateful to have had the opportunity to work with them.”
