Orange County Home Flooded By Ice Jam, 6 Rescued
Fire officials said two other people from another home had to be rescued as well.

WESTBROOKVILLE, NY — Six people had to be rescued Friday in Orange County after a massive ice jam sent ice, rocks, wood and water across Route 209 and nearby properties. Three adults and three children were rescued from the flooded home near the Pine Kill creek, but no one was injured.
Two other people were rescued from another home, and part of Route 209 was shut down, recordonline.com said.
Fire officials said the frozen creek thawed, and the heavy rainfall caused the ice to break up and start moving, until it jammed against the Route 209 bridge.
