Orange County Man Dies When Car Goes Off Roadway, Flips Over

Authorities said the man was ejected from his vehicle.

HAMPTONBURGH, NY — An Orange County man died after his car went off the roadway and flipped over.

The New York State Police said, around 8:15 p.m. Monday, troopers from the Montgomery barracks were sent to Sarah Wells Trail in Campbell Hall for a report of a car rollover.

Police said the investigation found that a 2015 Honda Accord had gone off the roadway for unknown reasons and struck a rock. That caused the car to flip over.

The driver — Daniel P. Sullivan, 46, of Campbell Hall — was ejected from the car.

Authorities said he was taken to Garnet Health Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.

There were no other occupants in the car.

The Campbell Hall Fire Department and Blooming Grove EMS were at the scene, police said.
