Pair Arrested For Alleged Jewelry Store Burglary
More than $9,000 worth of jewelry was stolen.

WAPPINGERS FALLS, NY — Two Hudson Valley residents were arrested for the burglary of a Wappinger jewelry store. On July 20, the New York State Police from the Wappinger barracks arrested Rocco R. Cardascia, 29, of Poughkeepsie, and Casey C. Owen, 27, of Mamaroneck. Both were charged with third-degree burglary, second-degree criminal mischief and third-degree grand larceny, all felonies.
An investigation revealed that Cardascia and Owen were responsible for the alleged burglary of a jewelry store in Wappinger, where more than $9,000 worth of jewelry was stolen in October 2016. [Get Patch’s Daily Newsletter and Real Time News Alerts here.]
Cardascia and Owen were arraigned at the Town of Wappinger Court. Cardascia was sent to the Dutchess County Jail in lieu of $10,000 bail or $20,000 bond. Owen was sent to the Dutchess County Jail in lieu of $1,500 bail or $3,000 bond. Their next appearance was scheduled for August 3.
