Parents Arrested After Infant Left Unattended In Vehicle In Wallkill: PD
The incident happened in the parking lot of a Sam's Club, according to police.
WALLKILL, NY — An infant was left unsupervised in an unlocked vehicle outside a local store Thursday, and the child’s parents were arrested, police said.
Lt. Robert McLymore said officers got a “check welfare” call on Jan. 22 around 10:52 a.m. Police responded to 300 North Galleria Dr., a Sam’s Club store.
According to police, an investigation showed parents had left their 4-month-old child unattended in an unlocked vehicle while they shopped.

Bhricella Sisalima-Gualan, 19, and Carlos Fares Mascote, 23, both of Middletown, were charged with endangering the welfare of a child.
Both were released with an appearance ticket, and they are due in Town of Wallkill Court on Feb. 11.

Child Protective Services was notified about the incident, according to police.
