
State Police have accused Patti Lovelace of Eldred, NY of stealing funds from the Village of Liberty Police Police Benevolent Association during her tenure as treasurer for the union.
At the time of her arrest May 22, Lovelace was employed as a dispatcher for the Village of Liberty Police Department. After an investigation by union officials and State Police, officials allege that during the course of the past two years, Lovelace stole about $13,000 from union accounts.
Lovelace, 60, was charged with Grand Larceny 3rd Degree, a felony. She was arraigned in the Town of Liberty Court and released on her own recognizance pending future court proceedings.
