Person Dragged Under UPS Truck, Killed In New Paltz

Police said the UPS driver was cooperating with the investigation.

NEW PALTZ, NY — A man died in New Paltz after being dragged underneath a delivery truck Thursday. New Paltz police said the person, who was not named because next of kin had not been notified, had climbed underneath a UPS truck.

The UPS driver was not aware the person was underneath the vehicle and drove down Main Street, the Poughkeepsie Journal reported.

Police said the person was found dead near the Wallkill River Bridge after being dislodged from underneath the truck.
