After that, both drivers pulled their cars onto the shoulder of the parkway just north the Briarcliff Manor exit.

Siino got out of his car and walked toward Walcyzk's.

Then, police said, Walczyk got out of his car, holding a fake badge while concealing a folding knife behind his back.

When the two men were face to face, Walcyzk stabbed Siino twice in the chest. Walcyzk accidentally sliced his own finger on the blade in the course of the attack.

Siino managed to get back to his car and told his wife that he had been stabbed. She helped him into the passenger seat and then drove away while calling 911.

Siino died further down the highway where his wife eventually pulled over.

Walcyzk drove off and called 911 claiming he had been a victim of a stabbing. He was located and taken to a hospital where he was treated for his injury.

State police then took him to the barracks in Hawthorne where he was arrested.

Walcyzk was indicted by a grand jury, and he had pleaded not guilty to first-degree manslaughter and first-degree criminal impersonation felonies and fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon, a misdemeanor.
