Pleasant Valley 21YO Accused in Fatal Road Rage Incident
The victim's passenger called 911 and tried to get him to the hospital but he died.

MOUNT PLEASANT, NY — A road rage incident on the Taconic Parkway Saturday led to one stabbing and the arrest of the alleged killer, according to state police. The stabbing was done by a 21-year-old Pleasant Valley man, police allege.
At about 10:30 p.m. May 27, State Police responded to a reported stabbing on the Taconic State Parkway in Mount Pleasant. They found, 28-year-old Daniel Siino of Hartsdale, NY in a vehicle with stab wounds.
The investigation revealed that the victim had engaged in a road rage incident with Christian A. Walczyk, age 21, of Pleasant Valley, New York.

Police allege the incident turned physical and Walczyk stabbed Siino in the chest. Siino returned to his vehicle and his passenger began driving him to the hospital while contacting 911. EMS and State Troopers subsequently located and rendered aid to Siino who was ultimately transported to Westchester Medical Center.
He died there.

Walczyk, who had also left the scene and called 911, was located nearby and taken into custody without incident.
Walczyk was charged with one count of Manslaughter in the First Degree, a Class B Felony, arraigned in the Town of Mt. Pleasant Court and remanded to the Westchester County Jail without bail. The State Police were assisted in the investigation by the Town of Mount Pleasant Police Department, the Village of Briarcliff Manor Police Department and the Westchester County District Attorney’s Office.
