Pleasant Valley Man Killed When Pickup Rolls Over Him
The incident is still under investigation, police said.

PLEASANT VALLEY, NY — State Police are investigating the death of a Pleasant Valley man Jan. 3. Troopers were dispatched to Tyrell Road in the Town of Pleasant Valley for a report of a man pinned underneath a vehicle.
A preliminary investigation found that around 10:35 a.m., Timothy Russell Jr., 36, of Pleasant Valley, was laying on the ground working on the underside of his Ford F250 pickup truck.
It is believed that the vehicle rolled backward, police said, resulting in Russell receiving fatal injuries.

Members of the Pleasant Valley Fire Department and Mobile Life EMS tried to render medical assistance, but Russell was pronounced dead at the scene by the Dutchess County Medical Examiner.
While the incident appears to be accidental in nature, it remains under investigation, police said.
