Police Chase In Stolen Car Ends With Arrest Warrant Activated
The 19-year-old driver hit a parked car, got out and ran away, police said.

A 19-year-old who police say led officers on a high speed chase in a stolen car Aug. 6 faces charges of criminal possession of stolen property and fleeing an officer in a motor vehicle.
New York State troopers had attempted to stop a red Dodge Challenger on the Taconic Parkway for vehicle and traffic violations. The driver wouldn't stop.
Police pursued him south on the Taconic and slowed the car down with spike strips near Salt Point Turnpike, but the driver kept going, taking Route 44 eastbound. Then he lost control of the car, collided with a parked vehicle, got out and ran away, police said.

Caught while fleeing on foot, the driver was taken into custody without further incident by a Dutchess County Sheriff’s Deputy on Masten Road in the town of Pleasant Valley.
Police found the Challenger was reported stolen out of New York City.

Jayshawn J. Brayboy of Queens was arraigned before the town of Milan Court, which set no bail because he was then turned over to the Saratoga Sheriff’s Office due to an active warrant for his arrest. He is due back in Milan Court Oct. 1.
