Police ID Passenger Killed In Fatal One-Car Crash In Dutchess
After the driver failed to stop at a stop sign, the car then went through the intersection before hitting a barrier, NYSP said.

PLEASANT VALLEY, NY — Officials have released the identity of the passenger killed in a deadly crash in Dutchess County.
The New York State Police say that they are still investigating the fatal one-car crash that took place on Friday in the town of Pleasant Valley.
Around 7:10 p.m., 35-year-old Christopher M. Rogers, of Poughkeepsie, was driving a 2006 Honda sedan east on Sherow Road, when he failed to stop at a stop sign at the intersection with North Avenue.

The car then went through the intersection, crossing both lanes of travel and hit the barrier on the east shoulder of North Ave.
Rogers was taken to Vassar Brothers Medical Center for serious injuries.

His passenger, 53-year-old Dawn Pociask, of Hyde Park, was taken to Mid-Hudson Regional Hospital where she was later pronounced dead.
Police say the investigation remains ongoing.
