Police ID Victim In Fatal Bridge Crash
He hit a tractor-trailer two minutes after it had come to a halt in the center lane.

Police have identified the motorist who died after smashing into the rear of a disabled tractor-trailer on the Beacon-Newburgh Bridge on Thursday. He is Fernando R. Carozza, 51 of Hopewell Junction, NY.
Police said at 7 p.m. Dec. 6 a Kenworth tractor trailer traveling east on the bridge became disabled. The vehicle came to a complete stop in the center lane.
Though several vehicles were able to go around it, two minutes later Carozza, who was driving a 2013 Jeep Wrangler, struck the rear right bumper of the trailer, police said.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.
State Police Collision Reconstruction Unit (CRU), Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Unit (CVEU) and Bureau of Criminal Investigation (BCI) responded to the scene. The investigation is ongoing,
