Police Investigating Possible Hate Crime In Kinderhook

Authorities said the handwritten message was taped to a road sign on Route 203.

KINDERHOOK, NY — Police are asking the public for any information regarding a possible hate crime in Kinderhook.

Around 4:30 p.m. Saturday, the New York State Police were alerted to a handwritten sign taped to a public road sign on Route 203 between Fairway Drive and Novak Road.

Police said the sign contained "biased speech."
