Police Investigating Wappinger Bank Robbery
Police said he threatened to use an explosive device to gain access to the vault.

WAPPINGER, NY — The State Police are investigating a bank robbery Tuesday in the Town of Wappinger. Around 11:50 a.m., police were sent to the Trustco Bank at 1490 Route 9 near Myers Corners Road for a report of a robbery.
Police said a white male dressed in all black, with a black umbrella and ski mask, entered the bank.
He threatened to use an explosive device to gain access to the vault and left the bank with an undisclosed amount of U.S. currency, police said.

The investigation is ongoing, according to authorities.
