Police Say Orange County Man Kept 81YO War Veteran Captive for 5 Years
The suspect is accused of stealing from the veteran as well.

HIGHLAND FALLS, NY — Police said a Highland Falls man kept an 81-year-old Korean War veteran captive for five years while stealing thousands of dollars from him.

Perry Coniglio, 43, of Highland Falls, was arrested and charged with unlawful imprisonment, and other charges, for keeping David McClellan, 81, in a motel room next door to him, according to an article at Hudson Valley News Network.

Police said Coniglio forced and intimidated McClellan, who was described as mentally diminished, to cooperate, the Times Herald Record said.
