Postal Worker Arrested For Stealing Stamps: DA
Authorities said he was selling the stamps online.

WESTTOWN, NY — A postal employee was arrested for allegedly stealing thousands of dollars worth of stamps from the post office where he worked. Westchester County District Attorney Anthony A. Scarpino Jr. said Wednesday that Antonio Pinheiro, 44, of Westtown, Orange County, was charged with third-degree grand larceny, a felony.
He was released on bail, and his next court appearance is scheduled for Jan. 10 in Peekskill City Court.
The felony complaint said Pinheiro stole about 14,000 stamps from the U.S. Postal Service while he was employed at the Peekskill post office.

The stamps — worth more than $6,000 — were taken during the period of July 2017 to October 2017, police said.
According to authorities, Pinheiro was selling the stamps via an online marketplace.

His arrest on Dec. 4 followed a joint investigation by the U.S. Postal Inspection Service and the District Attorney's Investigation Division.
