Poughkeepsie City Hall Closing Early Wednesday, Thursday
The city is replacing a unit that controls the air conditioning.

POUGHKEEPSIE, NY — City Hall in Poughkeepsie will close at 1 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday while the building's air conditioning system is repaired. A spokesman for the city said anticipated high temperatures for both days are the reasons for the closing.
A new chiller unit is being installed, replacing one that was installed in 1973. The unit runs the air conditioning for the entire building, officials said.
The public meeting on possible uses for the former YMCA building is still on for Wednesday.
