Poughkeepsie Man Accused Of Raping Child
Police said the child was under the age of 15.
POUGHKEEPSIE, NY — A Poughkeepsie man was accused of raping a child. The state police in conjunction with the Dutchess County Child Advocacy Center and the Town of Poughkeepsie Police Department arrested and charged Justin P. O'Dell, 25, of Poughkeepsie, with three counts of second-degree criminal sex act and one count of second-degree rape, felonies.
An investigation found O'Dell engaged in sexual contact with a victim, who was under the age of 15, in the towns of Clinton and Stanford, police said.
O'Dell and the victim knew each other, according to authorities.

O'Dell was arraigned in the Town of Washington Court and sent to the Dutchess County Jail in lieu of $25,000 bail or $50,000 bond.
He is next schedule to appear before the court July 15.
