Poughkeepsie Man Accused Of Robbing Gas Station
Police said he gave the gas station attendant a note saying he had a gun and wanted all the cash.
POUGHKEEPSIE, NY — A Poughkeepsie man was accused of robbing a gas station in the town Saturday. Town of Poughkeepsie police said Michael W. Morris, 30, of Poughkeepsie, was charged with third-degree robbery, a felony.
Police said, around 7 a.m. Saturday, Morris approached the clerk at the Chestnut Mobil at 2605 South Road in the Town of Poughkeepsie.
He gave the clerk a note that said he had a weapon and demanded cash from the registers, police said.

Morris fled from the gas station with about $380.
The clerk gave police a description of Morris, who was identified and located in the town.

After being charged, Morris was released on an appearance ticket to return to the Town of Poughkeepsie Court June 22.
