Poughkeepsie Man Accused Of Stabbing 19-Year-Old
When police responded to the scene, they found the stabbing victim had left.
POUGHKEEPSIE, NY — A Town of Poughkeepsie man was arrested after being accused of stabbing another man. Town police said they were called to a reported stabbing around 7:40 p.m. Thursday at 15 Vandewater Avenue.
The responding officers learned the stabbing victim had fled from the scene. His vehicle was located, after which the 19-year-old victim was taken by ambulance to MidHudson Regional Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
After an investigation, Kevin D. Garrett Sr., 41, of Poughkeepsie, was arrested and charged with second-degree assault, a felony.

He was arraigned in the Town of Poughkeepsie Justice Court and sent to the Dutchess County Jail without bail.
Garrett is scheduled to next appear in court Monday.
