Poughkeepsie To Open Cooling Center In City
There are also two other centers available for those who do not have air conditioning.
POUGHKEEPSIE, NY — With the soon-to-arrive heat and humidity, the City of Poughkeepsie will open a cooling center from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday, July 30 at the Public Safety Building at 505 Main St. The Adriance Memorial Library, located at 93 Market St., will also operate a cooling center from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The Salvation Army Poughkeepsie Corps Community Center, which is at 19 Pershing Avenue, will be the site of a cooling center from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
