Poughkeepsie Teacher Accused Of Child Porn Possession

A Poughkeepsie teacher has been arrested for possessing child porn. New York State police said they arrested Brian Kinsley of Shawangunk on Tuesday.

Kinsley, 34, faces a charge of Possessing a Sexual Performance By a Child, a felony.

State police said their investigation found he possessed an inappropriate picture of a child that was downloaded from the internet. The investigation is ongoing.

Kinsley is a teacher with the City of Poughkeepsie School District.

Kinsley has been placed on administrative leave, according to news reports. MidHudsonNews quoted a district statement that there did not appear to be a connection to any district student.
