Poughkeepsie Woman Arrested for Bank Fraud

She faces eight felony counts.

LAGRANGEVILLE, NY — State Police arrested a 25-year-old Poughkeepsie woman Tuesday after a bank fraud investigation.

Martina Robinson was charged with three counts of third-degree grand larceny, four counts of second-degree possession of a forged instrument and one count of fourth-degree grand larceny, all felonies.

Police said Troopers were sent Oct. 18 to the TEG Federal Credit Union, located on Commerce Street in the Town of LaGrange.

An investigation found Robinson cashed four forged business checks at branches of the credit union in LaGrange, Hyde Park, Fishkill and the Town of Wappinger, police said.

All four of the transactions were conducted Oct. 18 and totaled more than $13,000.

Robinson turned herself in and was arraigned in the Town of LaGrange Justice Court.

She was sent to the Dutchess County Jail in lieu of $2,500 bail or $5,000 bond.
