Ramp Closure Scheduled For Taconic
Motorists should follow the posted detour and anticipate delays.
FISHKILL, NY — The state Department of Transportation will be closing an exit ramp on the Taconic State Parkway for maintenance activities. The DOT said Exit 43A (northbound Route 82) will be closed from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Thursday, July 18 while crews are onsite working, weather permitting.
Motorists are advised to follow the posted detour and anticipate possible delays.
Drivers are asked to use caution when traveling through the work zone area and pay particular attention to all traffic control devices, including signs and flaggers, the DOT said.

Motorists are reminded that fines are doubled for speeding in a work zone. In accordance with the Work Zone Safety Act of 2005, convictions of two or more speeding violations in a work zone could result in the suspension of an individual’s driver license, according to officials.
