Red Hook Teen Seriously Injured In Car Crash
She had to be extricated from her car after which she was taken to the hospital, police said.
RED HOOK, NY — A Red Hook 19-year-old was placed in a medically induced coma after she sustained a severe head injury in a car crash. Red Hook police said on Facebook that Jacqueline Rodriguez, 19, of Red Hook, was traveling at an unsafe speed on wet road conditions around 6 p.m. Saturday on Linden Avenue.
She lost control of her 1998 Lexus and slid off the roadway striking a tree.
Rodriguez was in and out of consciousness being tended to by passersby when first responders got to the scene, police said.

She had to be extricated from her car and was taken to MidHudson Regional Hospital in Poughkeepsie. She was later transferred to Westchester Medical Center, where she was placed into a medically induced coma.
Red Hook police were assisted at the scene by Mobile Life Support Services, Red Hook Fire Company, New York State Police and the Dutchess County Sheriff's Office.
