Repairs Underway On Poughkeepsie Grand Hotel Facade
Repairs are underway for the damage caused by a water leak and high winds on New Year's Day.

POUGHKEEPSIE, NY — Repairs to the facade of the Poughkeepsie Grand Hotel are underway after portions of the hotel's wall fell eight floors to the sidewalk New Year's Day. General Manager Maureen Kangas said water leaked into a crack which caused pieces of the facade to fall from strong winds.
The repairs should be completed over the next couple of days, the Poughkeepsie Journal said.
Heavy rain Monday into Tuesday was followed by high wind gusts, according to the National Weather Service.
