Reward Offered In Former Psych Center Fire
Smoke from the fire could be seen for miles Friday.

POUGHKEEPSIE, NY — The company that wants to develop the site of the former Hudson Valley Psychiatric Center is offering a reward for information leading to the arrest of whoever set Friday’s fire. The reward was set at $5,000.
The fire was intentionally set, according to fire officials, the Poughkeepsie Journal said.
EFG/DRA Heritage LLC wants to turn the site into one of the largest retail and residential developments in the history of Dutchess County.

The Fairview Fire District was sent to the site off on Route 9 in the Town of Poughkeepsie around 4 a.m. Friday. Over the course of a few hours, flames could be seen coming out of one building and smoke could be seen for miles.
