Road crews will be performing maintenance activities, weather permitting.

GOSHEN, NY — Motorists are advised that portions of the right lane on Route 17 eastbound between Exit 125 (Route 17M) and Exit 129 (Museum Village Road) in the Village of Chester and towns of Goshen and Blooming Grove are expected to be closed from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 28, and Wednesday, March 1, while crews perform maintenance activities, weather permitting.
The state Department of Transportation said drivers are asked to use caution when traveling through the work zone area and pay particular attention to all traffic control devices, including signs and flaggers.
Motorists are reminded that fines are doubled for speeding in a work zone. In accordance with the Work Zone Safety Act of 2005, convictions of two or more speeding violations in a work zone could result in the suspension of an individual’s driver license.
