Route 17A Lane Closure With Alternating Traffic Expected In Warwick
Motorists are reminded that fines are doubled for speeding in a work zone.

WARWICK, NY — Motorists are advised that weekday lane closures with alternating traffic, controlled by flaggers, are expected to occur on Route 17A between Iron Forge Road and Jarmain Road in the town of Warwick, Orange County. The work will begin Monday, Sept. 18, and will continue through Monday, Sept. 25, from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m., while crews perform paving activities, weather permitting.

Drivers are asked to use caution when traveling through the work zone area and pay particular attention to all traffic control devices, including signs and flaggers.

Motorists are reminded that fines are doubled for speeding in a work zone. In accordance with the Work Zone Safety Act of 2005, convictions of two or more speeding violations in a work zone could result in the suspension of an individual’s driver license.
