Route 209 Overnight Closures With Detour Expected

Motorists are advised to follow the posted detour and should expect delays.

ULSTER, NY — Motorists are advised that as part of the ongoing bridge rehabilitation project, two overnight closures are expected for Route 209 in the town of Ulster between Enterprise Drive and Saw Kill Road, while crews perform construction activities, weather permitting.

The closures are anticipated to occur from 8 p.m. on Thursday, July 19 to 6 a.m. Friday, July 20 and again from 8 p.m. on Monday, July 23 to 6 a.m. on Tuesday, July 24.

Motorists are advised to follow the posted detour and should expect delays.

Drivers are asked to use caution when traveling through the work zone area and pay particular attention to all traffic control devices, including signs and flaggers.

Motorists are reminded that fines are doubled for speeding in a work zone. In accordance with the Work Zone Safety Act of 2005, convictions of two or more speeding violations in a work zone could result in the suspension of an individual’s driver license.
