Route 32 Paving Work with Lane Closures Expected
Traffic will be controlled by flaggers during the work.

CORNWALL, NY — The state Department of Transportation said motorists should be aware that beginning Monday, Oct. 16, single lane closures, with alternating traffic controlled by flaggers, are expected for Route 32, between Quaker Avenue and Route 94 in the town of Cornwall. Crews will be performing paving activities, weather permitting.
Work is expected to last until Tuesday, Oct. 31, and lane closures are expected to occur weekdays from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. (For more information on this and other neighborhood stories, subscribe to Patch to receive daily newsletters and breaking news alerts.)
Motorists should anticipate delays and seek alternate routes, if possible, the DOT said.

Drivers are asked to use caution when traveling through the work zone area and pay particular attention to all traffic control devices, including signs and flaggers.
Motorists are reminded that fines are doubled for speeding in a work zone. In accordance with the Work Zone Safety Act of 2005, convictions of two or more speeding violations in a work zone could result in the suspension of an individual’s driver license.
