Police Release More Details About School Bus Accident
Four students were initially taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

GERMANTOWN, NY — State police released more details about the school bus that rolled over Tuesday morning. The crash occurred around 7:45 a.m. and the cause has not yet been determined.
The Germantown Central School District bus had 20 students and a driver on board. The incident occurred on Church Avenue in Germantown.
Four of the students sustained minor injuries and were taken to local hospitals, police said.

Sixteen of the students were taken to Germantown Central School and were evaluated by the school nurse.
Four of those were released to their parents for further evaluation at local hospitals.

The remaining 12 children were either returned to their homes or were deemed fit by their parents and were allowed to report to class.
Inspection of the bus was being completed by the state Department of Transportation and Troop K Commercial Vehicle Enforcement.
After the accident, parents were urged not to respond to Church Avenue. They were instead told to contact the school district for reunification information.
