Schoolbus, Tractor Trailer Collision Closes State Route 211

WALLKILL, NY — A crash involving a tractor trailer and a school bus has closed parts of State Route 211 in Wallkill.

The New York State Police said they are investigating the crash involving a tractor trailer and a school bus that occurred shortly after 8:3o a.m. Troopers from the Middletown barracks responded to the intersection of State Route 211 and Bull Road in the town of Wallkill following the collision.

There were no children on the bus at the time of the crash. The driver of the bus was extricated and flown to Westchester Medical Center. The tractor trailer driver was not injured.

State Route 211 remained closed in both directions until early afternoon.
