Scott Conant Opening Steak House At Resorts World Catskills

The celebrity chef and CIA grad's restaurant is currently holding job fairs for front- and back-of-house positions.

MONTICELLO, NY — The new Resorts World Catskills will soon be opening a restaurant that will be run by popular restaurateur Scott Conant, who is a graduate of the Culinary Institute of America. The steak house is called Cellaio and will be providing more job opportunities for area residents.

To that end, Resorts World Catskills will be hosting job fairs for Cellaio Mondays through Thursdays until April 19. The job fairs will take place from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m in the Casino Resort’s Epicenter.

Resort officials said they are looking for “passionate and dedicated individuals to join the Cellaio team.”

The restaurant is hiring for front-of-house positions such as shift managers, bartenders, servers and hostesses. Back-of-house positions include sous chefs, line cooks and sommeliers.

Interested job seekers should come to the job fair with their resumes and two forms of ID.

Conant’s career spans more than 30 years, including multiple restaurants and an ever-expanding brand.

In his 20s, he was running the kitchens of such famous Italian spots as Il Toscanaccio, Chianti and City Eatery.

In 2002, his L’Impero restaurant opened and got a three-star review from the New York Times.

Conant was named one of America’s Best New Chefs in 2004.

Most recently in 2017, he opened Fusco in New York’s Flatiron district, Mora Italian in Phoenix, AZ and The Ponte in Los Angeles.

He has appeared on numerous talk show including “The Chew” and is a regular on the Food Network’s “Chopped.”

Resorts World Catskill is located at 888 Resorts World Drive in Monticello.
