Senior Citizen Accused Of Domestic Violence In Rhinebeck

A 75-year-old man faces charges of burglary and menacing.

RHINEBECK, NY — A 75-year-old man faces charges of burglary and menacing in Rhinebeck. Police said he threatened to kill the victim after entering the home Sunday.

Stephen J. Brind, 75, of Rhinebeck, for Burglary in the 2nd degree, a class C felony, and Menacing in the 3rd degree, a class B misdemeanor.

Troopers were dispatched to a domestic dispute at 5:20 p.m. Brind fled as the victim called the state police.

Brind was arraigned before the town of Milan Court, and released on his own recognizance. Brind’s next court date is to be determined by the village of Rhinebeck Court.
