NEWBURGH, NY — A serious crash involving a tractor-trailer on the New York State Thruway has tied up traffic in Newburgh Tuesday.

According to 511NY.org, the crash happened around 3:40 p.m., resulting in all southbound lanes being closed before Ext 17 (I-87) - Newburgh (I-84 - Route 17K).

The state Department of Transportation said there is stop-and-go traffic on Interstate 87 in that area.
