Services Set For Sean Grogan Of Wappingers Falls
The 18-year-old was killed jumping in front of a train.

WAPPINGERS FALLS, NY — Services for an 18-year-old Wappingers Fall man, killed when he jumped in front of a train April 13, have been set.
Sean L. Grogan was hit by an Amtrak train that had left the Rensselaer station shortly after 4 p.m., the Albany Times-Union said.
Police told the Times-Union there were “indications” he was despondent earlier in the day and that he intended to do harm to himself.

Grogan was born in Mount Kisco to Thomas and Denise Grogan. He graduated from Roy C. Ketcham High School in 2016 and was studying political science at the University of Albany.

Besides his parents, Grogan is survived by four sisters, a grandmother and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Calling hours will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday at McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82 in Hopewell Junction. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Columba Church, 835 Route 82 in Hopewell Junction.
Interment will follow in St. Denis Cemetery.
Memorial donations may be made to St. Denis-St. Columba School for the Sean Grogan Scholarship Fund, PO Box 368, Hopewell Junction, NY 12533.
