DUTCHESS COUNTY, NY — The National Weather Service has issued a severe thunderstorm warning to southeastern Dutchess and northwestern Litchfield counties for a storm with 60 mph gusts.

At 8:40 p.m., a severe thunderstorm was located near Dover Plains, or 9 miles north of Pawling, moving northeast at 25 mph. The warning is in effect until 9:45 p.m.

Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees.

  • Dover Plains around 850 PM EDT.
  • Kent around 855 PM EDT.
  • Amenia around 905 PM EDT.
  • Sharon and Cornwall Bridge around 915 PM EDT.
  • Falls Village around 935 PM EDT.
  • Torrington around 945 PM EDT.
