Sheriff's Office Warns Residents To Keep Cars Locked
As a result of multiple thefts over the weekend, the sheriffs also said people should not leave anything valuable in their vehicles.
DUTCHESS COUNTY, NY — Multiple thefts from parked cars in Dutchess County over the weekend have prompted the Dutchess County Sheriff's Office to issue a warning to residents.
The sheriff's office is investigating multiple larcenies from parked vehicles that happened during the later evening hours of Friday into the early morning hours of Saturday.
Authorities said the cars that were targeted were parked residential driveways in the town of Union Vale.

The driveways were located on South Parliman Road, Darren Road, Oakbrook Lane, Brookside Lane and Rose Court, the sheriff's office said.
Residents throughout Dutchess County are strongly urged by the sheriff's office to lock their vehicle doors and avoid leaving keys, key fobs, wallets, money, credit cards or any other valuable items inside their cars.

The sheriff's office said it would also be interested in any home security camera footage that may have captured a theft, attempted theft, suspicious person or suspicious vehicle.
