POUGHKEEPSIE, NY — Lows drop into the mid-50s Friday night. That'll be a shock to the system! Then we'll get a partly cloudy day or so before storms hit us again.

"The weather does improve a bit for the weekend, things should dry out," said Bill Potter of Hudson Valley Weather on Facebook.

"The models have very little agreement on where the hurricane is going to go," Potter said, noting "fear-mongering" in several media outlets. It's early — almost seven days away. "The storm does need to be monitored," he said.

  • Saturday Night-Partly cloudy, with a low around 52. North wind around 6 mph.
  • Sunday-Partly sunny, with a high near 67. East wind around 7 mph.
  • Sunday Night-A chance of rain. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 54. Chance of precipitation is 40%. New precipitation amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch possible.
