Small Stream Flood Advisory For Parts Of Mid-Hudson Valley

The NWS said motorists should turn around when encountering flooded roads.

Heavy rain moving into the Hudson Valley has prompted the National Weather Service to issue an urban and small stream flood advisory of Ulster County, northwestern Dutchess County and southwestern Greene County.

The advisory is in effect until 3:15 p.m. Thursday.

At 12:18 p.m., Doppler radar indicated heavy rain that will cause urban and small stream flooding in the advisory area.

Up to 1 inch of rain has already fallen.

Some locations that could experience flooding include Kingston, Ellenville, Woodstock, Kerhonkson, Red Hook and Lake Katrine.
