Snow Accumulating in Poughkeepsie's Weekend Forecast
Here are the details about the first snowfall of the season in Newburgh and Beacon.

POUGHKEEPSIE, NY — We all know that weather can change fast. This week's a perfect example. On Monday, meteorologists predicted a 30 percent chance of snow for the weekend. Just Wednesday, they were all in agreement that the much discussed potential-first-accumulating snow of the season wouldn't happen.
Now they're forecasting 2 to 4 inches in the lower Hudson Valley.
The short version: while waves of Arctic air continue in from Canada as expected, the Atlantic storm making its way up the East Coast got more organized and shifted its track westward.

While the National Weather Service put a Winter Weather Advisory out Friday for Putnam, Rockland and Westchester counties, so far, Dutchess, Ulster and Orange counties are not under any sort of advisory as of Friday morning.
That doesn't mean they are off the hook snow-wise. The forecast for Saturday is calling for a 70 percent chance of snow, with accumulations of 1 to 3 inches. That's not going to bring things to a screeching halt, but it could mean for some slippery travel Saturday and Saturday night.
