Snow, Wintry Mix In Winter Weather Advisory For Mid-Hud

MID-HUDSON VALLEY, NY — Parts of the mid-Hudson Valley may be in for their first real taste of wintry weather for the season.
The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory for Dutchess and Ulster counties.
The advisory is in effect from 7 a.m. Saturday to 4 a.m. Sunday.

Meteorologists are calling for mixed precipitation, with snow total accumulations of 1 to 2 inches with ice accumulations of around one-tenth of an inch.
Motorists should plan on slippery road conditions due to snow-covered roads and reduced visibilities in the snowfall. The snow is forecast to begin to mix with and transition to sleet, freezing rain and plain rain in the afternoon into the early evening.
