Stabbing, Fatal Shooting, Post-Surgery Decamping And 1 Last Attack

DUTCHESS COUNTY, NY — A violent dispute continued even after one of those involved was killed, New York State troopers report.
New York State Police say that along with the Dutchess County Sheriff's Office, they responded to a home on Rawls Road in the Town of Pleasant Valley on Saturday after a bitter feud came to a head.
Once on the scene, officers found one man with a stab wound, and another with a gunshot wound.

Troopers and deputies then secured the scene and began lifesaving techniques for both of the men. Both men were taken to local hospitals.
20-year-old Anthony G. Cuozzo, who police said received multiple gunshot wounds, was pronounced dead at Vassar Hospital.

Investigators say that, during an argument, Cuozzo stabbed a 53-year-old in the chest. The 53-year-old then shot Cuozzo.
After surgery, the 53-year-old stab wound victim checked himself out of the hospital and returned to the Rawls Road home. A second violent argument took place where the 53-year-old was struck with a blunt object causing non-life-threatening injuries.
Police say the investigation remains ongoing and there is no threat to the public at this time.
