Starved Pets: Police Looking For 2 Women [PHOTO]

Two of the animals — pit bulls — had died of starvation, police say.

FALLSBURG, NY — State police are looking for two women in connection with two pit bulls that were found starved to death in a home, along with two emaciated cats. Police said the women were identified as Miesha Bentley, 28, and Victoriano Moreira, 28, both of Loch Sheldrake.

An investigation found that Bentley and Moreira agreed to care for the animals after their former owners could not keep them because of new apartment regulations, police said.

However, according to authorities, the women left the residence without leaving any food or water for the animals.
