State Police Searching For Missing Hudson Valley Man

The man is known to be an avid hiker and outdoorsman.

HIGHLAND, NY — The State Police in Highland are searching for a New Paltz man who has been missing since the first week of December. Nacom J. Romero, 48, of New Paltz, is a white Hispanic man, who is 5 feet, 8 inches tall and weighs 180 pounds. He has brown eyes and brown hair.

Romero's last known address was 577 State Route 32 in New Paltz and was last seen at his residence during the first week of December 2017.

He is an avid hiker and outdoorsman who likes to frequent areas along Wallkill River in New Paltz and Rondout River in Rosendale.
